We invite you to join a SPECIAL virtual presentation on “Hearing Loss & MPS” by Salvatore Piccolo, an experienced Educational Specialist for the Deaf. This We Care session is specifically designed to help MPS families understand and address hearing-related challenges that may develop as a symptom of MPS.
As many people with MPS experience hearing loss as part of their condition, this presentation will provide valuable insights into:
- Critical role of early detection and screening
- Psychosocial aspects of hearing loss and how it affects social interactions and emotional well-being.
- The academic challenges that students with hearing loss may face
- Practical strategies to support your child’s academic success
Sal brings 19 years of expertise working with children with hearing loss and their families. His comprehensive understanding of both educational and psychological aspects of hearing impairment makes this an invaluable opportunity for our MPS community.
