Becoming a member of the Canadian MPS Society is the beginning of very rewarding relationship between families, associates, and professionals.
The MPS Community is one of the most supportive groups found amongst rare diseases. On becoming a member you will be able to connect with other MPS families via our secure online member portal and family directory, benefiting from tips, shared experiences, compassion and support.

Affected Family Membership (Free)
Canadian MPS Society membership is FREE to individuals, or a family directly affected with MPS or a related disease.

Before activating your membership we conduct a new member intake call to authenticate your diagnosis and determine any resources you may need. Please email info@mpssociety.ca to arrange a new member intake call.

Associate Membership ($40)
Associate membership is for a family member, professional or someone interested in supporting MPS. Associate memberships are available at $40 per year.

Community Matters
Networking opportunites through our Family Referral Directory (Affected Family Members only) and invites to our biennial National Family Conference bringing together families, youth and siblings, to learn about advances in care and treatment while developing life-long friendships.
The e-Connection: Stay Informed
Keep up to date with what’s happening in the MPS field. Our monthly digital newsletter includes stories from our members and partners, research and treatment updates, and information about upcoming events.
Financial Assistance Program
Providing limited financial support to help families manage the extraneous costs associated with MPS and related diseases. such as travel to treatment facilities, medical aides and wheelchair accessible home remodelling. We make sure families know that we’re there for them through grants that help them focus on their children rather than on financial hardships.
Advocacy
Our staff are available to support families in accessing appropriate care and treatment in new diagnosis and beyond. We also facilitate connecting to other members for mutual support, and during times of loss and bereavement.
